Jennifer Stinton & Saki Kato - Flute & Guitar
An exciting programme of music with South American connections, including Piazzolla, Tedesco, Machado and Villa Lobos. This is the debut performance of this new duo of talented musicians, following a solo Wigmore Hall Recital by Saki on November 21st
Jennifer Stinton is an internationally recognised flautist who has performed and recorded worldwide. She made her RFH concerto debut with the Philharmonia Orchestra on the South Bank in 1991 for the birthday of HRH Princess Diana. Since then she has made many recordings with the Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam, Scottish Chamber Orchestra & English Chamber Orchestra.
Saki Kato is a Japanese classical guitarist who has performed extensively all over the world. Currently, she studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London with Michael Lewin, and has been supported by the F. G. Fitch Bequest Scholarship, the Blyth Watson Award, and the Julian Bream Trust, for whom she will be performing a concert in autumn 2019, which will include the world premiere of a piece by Edward Cowie.
