The Schumann/Brahms Triangle

Find out about the intriguing famous music triangle Robert Schumann, Clara Schumann and Johannes Brahms in an afternoon of their music that is laced with readings of diary entries and letters to each other. First you will hear two movements of Robert Schumann’s Fantasiestücke which he wrote two years after marrying his beloved Clara Wieck in 1840 followed by Clara Schumann’s piano trio written in 1846 while she was pregnant with her fourth child. After a short interval you will hear Brahms’s C minor Trio, which he wrote while in Switzerland in 1883.
