About the Programme
On this occasion GéNIA would like her audience to enjoy a wonderful concert experience, by presenting them with a beautiful piano solo programme called “Love in the City’.
‘Is love in the city different, compared to the way we experience love in the countryside or in a small town?’
GéNIA is trying to answer this intriguing question through a musical experience during which my listeners will hear some contemporary British & Japanese composers (Hayden Parsey, GéNIA, Karen Tanaka), as well as enjoy popular tracks from the films ‘Amelie’ (Yann Tiersen), ‘Hours’ (Philip Glass) and, of course, the music of the great Astor Piazzolla and Eric Satie.
GéNIA would like to show her audience, whether true Londoners or guests of the capital, how diverse London is, and how something very modern can be found in something so traditional. At the end of the evening the listeners will receive a gift of GéNIA's first piano solo CD, which has been played on Classic FM.

Described by The Times as 'an outstanding musician' and Gramophone as 'a charismatic pianist', an enigma of the music world, concert pianist turned composer GéNIA recently enjoyed success with her new compositions by releasing her latest solo piano album ‘Babylon’ alongside several sold-out London shows, whilst her music enjoyed placements in the critically acclaimed BBC America TV Series ‘Killing Eve” (starring Sandra Oh) and well-known British ITV series ‘Cold Feet’. GéNIA's music compositions can be heard on Classic FM, BBC Radio 2, BBC London Radio 94.9, London News TV Channel, Talk Radio, BBC Wells Radio, as well as at the Caffe Nero Branches worldwide (as GéNIA is Caffeé Nero's featured classical artist) and also in various TV series and adverts.
As a concert pianist, a graduate from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, GéNIA has a diverse repertoire and an enthralling stage presence. Braking classical music traditions, her concerts often take a form of a show, rather than a classical concert, as she loves to connect with her audience and thus make the experience very personal to them. GéNIA enjoys collaborating with talented artists from other cultural disciplines, such as fashion, dance and film-making, and often surprises her audience by inviting them to participate in her shows. Recent collaborations were with the award-winning fashion designer José Hendo and the 'Britain's Got Talent' singer Nick Celino as well as starring in the film by Charlotte Ginsborg.
Following a traditional career path, GéNIA made her London debut as a concert pianist in the Park Lane Group Young Artist Series, which was followed by concert tours in the UK, Europe and USA. London performance venues include the Wigmore Hall, Barbican, Southbank Centre, Olympia, Kings Place, St. John's Smith Square and St Martin in the Fields to name just a few. Her classical repertoire is diverse and virtuosically astonishing.
