David Gentleman, artist, illustrator, designer and author joins us for a fascinating talk about his life and work.
From the platform-length mural on the underground at Charing Cross, enlarged from his wood engravings, he has designed British postage stamps, coins, symbols and anti-Iraq war placards and has held many exhibitions of watercolours, lithographs and screen-prints.
His latest book My Town: An Artist’s Life in London explores drawing London, particularly the Heath and Primrose Hill, and the changes he’s seen in almost seventy years of life in London.
'David has spent a lifetime depicting with wit and affection a London he has made his own' Alan Bennett
