Tucked away down cobbled streets and alleyways, off the beaten tourist track, you will find some of the city's best kept secrets. London Shh... is a collection of nine of these hidden gems, telling the stories of the famous former residents of some of London's most fascinating small historic houses.
London Shh... was founded in 2008 with a view to encourage more people to discover and enjoy these beautiful houses. To step through one of our front doors is to be transported back in time and experience first hand the places that famous names, from Sigmund and Anna Freud to Benjamin Franklin, once called home. All the houses are independently registered charities and generate their own income through exciting programmes of exhibitions, events and more.
The LondonShh... houses are: Benjamin Franklin House, Burgh House & Hampstead Museum, Dr Johnson's House, Fenton House, Freud Museum London, John Wesley's House, Keats House Museum, Kelmscott House (home to the William Morris Society), Handel House Museum, 2 Willow Road and 7 Hammersmith Terrace.
